General anesthetics with an endotracheal tube were the routine
with standard postoperative pain relief. Does this mean that BBAC
does not apply in patients getting regional anesthesia? No, it
means we didn't study these patients. Patients having major surgery
under regional anesthesia can still develop post operative myocardial
ischemia. Myocardial ischemia is still bad for patients.
